Any women want to take over moderating this tribe? I'm not spending much time on tribe these days and can't do it justice

While equipped with the wrong parts that you desire for a moderator, I would be honored to take over the position if you don't find a suitable replacement. I'm pretty strong on no spam, as well as moderately strong to keep things on topic. I also visit the tribes about 5 to 7 times a week.

My main interest is that the tribe stay public, so anyone can drop in or out whenever they want. If you can respect my perspective on that, I'd be up for turning moderation over to you, depending on whether any women speak up. -

Wed, July 18, 2007 - 11:47 PMI would certainly want to keep it public. The only things I see that we have to worry about would be image postings of hardcore work. Since the group is public and open, well, I guess it is not an issue right now because we have only 6 images. I just like to remind people, when appropriate, that they shouldn't post a pic if they don't own it (post a link to it) or copy a full article (again, post a link with a few teaser lines). I'm pretty big on my copyrights and try to help others keep everything on the up and up.
I would also like to see more women here in the group. Relate experiences and tell us what was good, bad, etc. about them. While originally created as research by you, it could certainly help both men and women if the ladies gave the men some ideas.

But it's fair to ask, if men are not excluded, is there anyone else that would want to moderate this tribe?

I think you would be an effective, conscientious moderator. But I prefer a woman, because I think other women will find the tribe slightly more inviting if a woman runs it. So I'm happy that friendly jen volunteered, and am going to throw moderation over to her.
Maybe I'm being sexist, but I want this tribe to be as inviting to women as possible, and think that is better accomplished with a female mod. Am happy FJ volunteered-- met her out on the playa in 2002 and had a blast following her around. I respect her attitudes and writing about sex.

Friendly Jen and I exchanged a couple personal messages that left me thinking she's on tribe enough to do a decent job of moderation (I think she under-represented her presence on tribe with the "every week or so" comment).
Also, I've had enough personal experience with her to believe that if she finds she's not an appropriate moderator, she'll put moderation up for grabs.
I am blatantly preferring a woman for this position, and I apologize for that, but I do think it's the best thing for the tribe as a whole, because I think a female mod makes the tribe slightly more inviting for other women. -

Mon, July 30, 2007 - 9:33 PMMy biggest issue was the "every other week or so" and I guess the items you brought up that were behind the scenes. So now that we know she'll be here more often than what was stated, let's see what we can do to bring this to a top notch tribe.
